Back in January, we have launched the “Words from the King 2020” book publishing contest with a simple idea. In essence, we will select one manuscript, out of the many we are receiving, and offer the author a traditional publishing contract with Evangelista Media & Consulting. We will then cover all the publishing investments to make a beautifully crafted book out of the awarded manuscript, and market it in Europe through our selected channels.
We have entered the 20th year of blessed publishing activity at Evangelista Media & Consulting. We feel that this is a marvelous way to give back to the community of Christian writers worldwide while helping writers nourish the Body of Christ with inspired books.
The initial deadline was April 30th, which seemed to be the perfect timeframe for writers to polish their manuscripts and submit them to our editorial staff. We thought we had already received a satisfying number of scripts, but…
Yes, there is a big “but.” Nobody imagined the huge changes that the Coronavirus would bring. To cut a long story short, people in lockdown felt the burning desire to carve their legacy into written words as never before.
The Church is receiving an unprecedented flood of revelation. Since the pandemic outburst, brothers and sisters from the five continents have started working on books that they had been longing to release for years—decades, in some cases.
It is not by chance that we’ve titled the contest as “Words from the King.” We want to be a tool to spread His words to His flock. Here is why we have prayerfully pondered on the matter and felt it was wise to give writers some extra time to complete their manuscripts. We’ve hence extended the submission deadline to May 31st.
If you feared you didn’t have enough time to complete your first draft, then this message is right for you.
Verba volant, scripta manent, the Romans said. What is written will pass the test of time. So, we encourage you to take this time of isolation as a unique opportunity to keep writing your legacy to the next generations. We will help you produce it with expertise and excellence.
