Book Publishing Contest

NOW IS THE TIME TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH THE REAL POSSIBILITY OF HAVING YOUR BOOK PROFESSIONALLY PUBLISHED BY A REPUTABLE COMPANY DEDICATED TO PRODUCING YOUR LEGACY WITH EXPERTISE AND EXCELLENCE.

Entry Requirements

We welcome all English-speaking writers worldwide who meet the following requirements:

• Born-again Christians with a heart for spreading the Gospel.
• Own all the rights to their personally written (in English), finished, and unpublished manuscript.
• Applicant has never before published any book with EMC or its imprints/trademarks. (Due to the huge interest our authors have showed in the contest, we’ve decided to allow writers worldwide to apply—whether they previously published with EMC or not).

Employees of Evangelista Media & Consulting, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Fees

There is no submission fee.

Prize

EMC will review and evaluate all submitted manuscripts. The author of the awarded manuscript will be offered a traditional publishing contract with EMC. The three-year agreement will consist of: book production, with EMC covering all publishing investments; distribution in Europe; and royalty payments to the author.

All participants will receive detailed feedback on their work with tips and suggestions from our editorial experts on how to improve their manuscript to reach publication standards. Also, writers not selected as this year’s winner will have the opportunity to access EMC’s premium publishing services at a considerable discount, within three months following the announcement of the contest results.

Deadline

The application deadline for submitting manuscripts is May 31st, 2020. EMC will not consider manuscripts submitted after this date for the Words from the King 2020 Book Contest.

EMC will publicly announce the winner on August 1, 2020.

How to Apply

Email as an attachment one finished, unpublished manuscript file in Microsoft Word to authors@www.evangelistamedia.com.

Recommended manuscript length: between 45,000 and 70,000 words.

Parameters: One-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 point font, double-spaced. Limited number of graphics.

Also attach a separate cover letter that includes your:

• Short personal history
• Current involvement in ministry
• Relevant personal experience of book’s topic
• Personal website and social media links
• Contact information: phone, email, physical address
• Other books you have previously published, if any

The Subject of the email should be: First and Last Name, MS Submission, Words from the King 2020

All genres within Christian literature are accepted.

Selection Criteria

EMC’s team will select ten finalists, from which the prize winner will be selected. EMC’s team members will consider the following criteria in making their selections:

1. Adherence to sound doctrine and Bible foundation
2. Readability and clarity of the message
3. Market potential
4. Accurate research
5. Creativity and originality

EMC’s decisions are final and incontestable.

The author of the awarded manuscript is not obligated to accept the publishing contract offer. If the author refuses the prize, the second-ranking author will be awarded, and so on.
